I had mine stored for two years in cloth slip cases and it never bothered them a bit. I took them out every two to three weeks and wiped them down and I kept them in a heated gun safe, but it never bothered them to have them in cheap slip cases that I paid 10 or 15 dollars for 5-6 of them. I have one buddy who probably has 50 to 60 guns in a (approx.) 5X5 heated vault in his basement. He keeps them in cheap slip cases and has never had any problem with them either. I wouldn't leave them in the trunk of a car in a slip case over the winter like I have heard of some people doing. But if you take care of them, any kind of a cloth case/cover should be OK.
