Okay.......i don't care who wins this argument. But it shows no class for others to add there little snide remarks while thinking they have some dog in this fight!

Battle I think all the "barking" is just to show some how foolish they look.

Personally I've never saw but one French gun worth fighting over....I think it was a Parley Hammer gun ?

In that pic checkering would be like putting zits on that woman's breasts. They will checker to your specs or do stock carving if that's what you want. They only make guns to individual order. Joe don't you wear fine Italian leather gloves while you shoot?

Nice gun...I don't have the money to worry about fighing over it.
If we both (the gun and I) survive another 100 years and it sprouts hammers I might give her a go.

As far as gloves...in cold weather I wear good ol'American wool gloves made in China.

Darn . . . or Darne I was hoping to take a better look at the lockup on that OU.

Robert, if one types niether instead of neither, no big deal. However, when it concerns the name of a foreign gun . . . after all, we do have Barker/Parker; Chapu/Chapuis. For all any of us knew--until you finally straightened out your "typo"--there might well have been an "Abielle" out there, as well as an "Abeille". Good to know there isn't, just as it's good to know there's no proof--as of yet--that Charlin made guns on the Darne patent. This website is all about finding out what's what when it comes to guns. And we all make mistakes. Some are simply more gracious than others when it comes to admitting them.
