Also, see "The Double Gun & Single Shot Journal" Volume 18, Issue 2(Summer 2007) on page 147 for a nice, informative article on Nitro Specials.

Raimey, your advice on shells would be good if the gun in question were a 12ga, but this one's a 16. I'm sure the guys over on the 16ga board would love it if someone would produce 7/8 oz 16ga loads at 5,000 psi in good, reloadable hulls--but I expect the devil's going to be wearing his long johns before that happens.

L.Brown:

Thanks for calling my hand regarding my error in the bore. It came to me in a dream last night, but I forgot to post error this am. Midway just might have enough leverage to pull it off.

Kind Regards,

I've been shooting out of a mixed box of 16-gauge shells this season that was in my Father's stuff. There are both paper and plastic Federal #6s in the box and a few Remington paper #5s. Gotta love the smell of those Federal papers!! It would be great if Federal made a run of them.

RST makes 7/8oz 16ga. loads in 2-1/2" shells. Not sure of the pressures.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.
