Along the lines of MarketHunters Sneakboater post here are the pics of my last with Joe Wood - Joe's family ranch near Slaton.

First, here are Beau and Molly on point:

Beau is my four year old French Brittany and Molly is his 1 year old daughter:

Here is the flush - that is me shooting, not Brad Pitt:

An unfortunate Bob flew into my shot string and here is Beau retrieving him:

Different point by Beau:

Here is Dubya on point with me going in to flush

My 16 gauge Syracuse Lefever with a Blue and a Bob:

This is Molly, my Lefever, a pile of birds (most shot by Joe), and me:

I just look so good in this shot I had to include it. If you would like orginal autographed copies please PM me.

Nice Buck!

This is me and Dubya sound asleep. Joe is a retired commodities broker and his conscience keeps him up all hours so he was awake to snap the pic.

Thanks to Joe Wood for the pictures and taking me on a great hunt. He is a sportsman and a gentlemen and a good shot with both shotgun and camera. He also has a good sense of humor - thank God!

Best,

Mike

Nice pics Mike. Yes, I'd like that picture. But, couldya crop it to cut out that guy with the goofy lookin "I'm huntin and you're not" smile and just give me the part with Dubya?

Hey, what's on the ground that you have to boot up those dogs?

Thanks and yall are welcome.

Very funny Chuck. Sand burrs are on the ground and they get between the dogs' toes. They are then impossible for the dog to remove and I have to dig them out and then I have to get them out of MY paws.

Joe thanks again for the pictures.

Best,

Mike

Treiblig I am glad you finally saw the light!

Yall are very welcome and thanks for the kind words.

Dogon I think French Brittanys are excellent multi-purpose dogs. Mine are also house dogs (unless Miz Ruth just got through cleaning the house), they are very enthusiastic dead hunters and good at finding and pointing birds. I use them to retrieve dove also. We also have empty nest syndrome and we are substituting them for grandkids as our son has been unwilling to induce a female to produce some for us. And what is the best gauge to hunt quail with - 16 gauge of course.

Daryl that is the Lefever that I got at the last Tulsa Gun show. 28 inch Damascus barrels, XX frame, G Grade, extractors, factory orginal chokes of 14 and 24, weighs 6lb-10oz and original factory stock 14-1/2 by 1-3/8 by 2-1/8. It has some scars and bumps and warts but it is a neat gun. I have spent substantially more than the purchase price getting some things fixed on it though. I really like it and I shoot it well (for me).

And Happy New Year to you all.

Best,

Mike
