Dennis:
I am not concerned about the wood. I am but a lowly metalsmith and don't know any better. It is Mr. Mann's reputation that worries me. The metalwork will be at Reno.
tw:
Thanks. I did a search on the Parker Hale thing and only came up with the extinct British company. Do you have a website or other information?
I did shoot the Wesson in competition last year and, with the help of my spotters, did quite well. It is quite accurate by BP/ lead bullet standards and more importantly a consistant preformer.
Ken:
I forgot about Snover. I will give him a call.
Brent:
I actually spent some quality time with your secret weapon last night. Of course, this has further delayed AKmike's Nock form barrel, but you can take that up with him. Or vice versa.

Glenn, Great news on the secret weapon! I feel that I am ready to handle the responsibility that goes with it too. I fully intend to win! I will certainly take care of AKmike - right after he takes me moose hunting Don't I wish... I think Bobby Hoyt may do Henry rifling. I know he does a bunch of other forms (or at least he did). I have a Pope rifled .450 FM barrel. It is under construction right now as a matter of fact. though I am embarrassed to say that I have owned the barrel for many years. News on the msn sight that Lodi is indeed the site for the World Championships, so it looks like you will be on home court again. Brent

I was told the other day that Ken Owen cuts Henry rifling, you may try him. Steve

Glenn came in 5th at Raton last year shooting the 1000 yd event. Not to shabby for a first time long range event. He also tied for first place shooting the sil. event. FWIW, Ken

Ken, He also won the last two Creedmoor matches at Lodi this summer and set a course record in the last one. He and Jim and The Tony shoot "rather well" to say the least.

Glenn;
Rest assured, Mr. Mann's reputation will not be damaged by using said piece of wood. The said piece is not only beautiful but well laid out and should provide an excellent testimony of both of your endevors without any room for disdain.
I am positive that the final outcome will not only be fantastic but a potential prize winner as well. Hopefully we can spend more time together and you will learn about my attempts at humor. See ya in Reno.

The more serious I sound the more likely I be making it the joke. Steve: Thanks for the information. I did a search for Ken Owen and found references but no contact information. Do you have a number or email address? Brent: Ha Ha! Mike is taking me moose hunting on his new truck! Glenn
