Gentlemens:

Thanks for the kind words. As for being off topic, the rules read:

"Feel free to use this system to discuss your doubles, drillings, combination guns, other fine firearms, and related material."

One could attempt a defence under the "other fine firearms" clause... is there a lawyer in the house?

The frame and most larger components of the Steve Earle action is machined from 8620 bar stock. Other parts are made from the alloy considered most suitable for the application, such as S-7 for the firing pin. It is without question the finest action I have ever worked with.

This particular rifle will be an International Rules Creedmoor rifle, specifically designed for killing paper at 1000 yards. The other Wesson I have posted pictures of is built to NRA Creedmoor rules which allow a 15 pound rifle. International rules limit the weight to 13 pounds. This one is chambered in .45-70, as I am going to experiment with that as a long range cartridge. It may ultimately be lengthened to .45-90 like its big brother.

Here is a picture of the wood Mr. Mann is going to put on it. Please don't tell anyone that a Guild wood guy is working with Juglans Nigra.
