My taste in doubles has been influenced by many things that all the earleir posters have cited. Now, what really appeals to me are guns that I can shoot real well. As I learned over many years that very pretty guns can get ugly real fast when you can't hit the broadside of a barn with them. So without that very important utilitarian factor, I'm not really interested. I want every gun I own to shoot great for me. SO far I have only found a few I can always count on: The superposed o/u, Win21's and sxs's with no more than 2 1/4" DAH. I would love to have a trojan restored, upgraded (engraved)and re-stocked to shootable dimensions for me. Love all the American Classic but can't shoot them worth a darn as is. Problem is the current Trojan I have is too nice to alter.
