My crystal ball says that, with emotion ruling politics, politically correct shot is not going to go away. It is just a matter of when. I also agree that with a market driven economy the demand for PC shot will be met at a price that the market will be able to bear.

As for shooting steel through open choke vintage guns, it ain't a good thing but if you get enough shots at grouse to ruin a gun, methinks you will have wore out that new dog as well.
