Again, I apologize for the pictures - I'm pretty p*ssed about them turning out so poorly. I have pictures of all the flats, but they're simply not worth looking at.

I did inspect the barrel ends closely and they still have the hatch marks (x's) and I rechecked the chokes and they are as stated before. The owner swears up and down that they have not been opened up and the barrel measures 29".

What do you guys think?

Looks very nice, with un-buggered screws, crossbolt and sideclips. Typical German proofs, including what I think I see as Nitro (smokeless powder) on the side of the barrel. Boehler is a good steel. Without a "70" mark the chambers were originally 65mm (2-1/2"). If the action is tight and the barrels are unpitted inside I'd call that a great deal.

tnwestes:

The stamps on the tubes are the barrel maker & country and the stamps on the flats are from the country where the double was built and proofed/proved. It's a little fuzzy on the tubes but the barrel flats are definitely turn of the 20th century German as I don't see a "Nitro" stamp. Well, Dennis is correct on the barrel length guess. And with the crosshatching in place, the barrels haven't been cut and there doesn't appear to be a choke stamp on the right tube. Overhanging sears, Greener Crossbolt, cocking indicators: nice gun. What is the length of pull and is the safety automatic?

Kind Regards,

Raimey

Not bad,
looks like overhanging sears, decent engraving and sounds like those barrels are uncut and it has ejectors.
I would check those chokes crown over U/crown W and no date code I think it should be 2 1/2.
Looks to need stock work, pad and open chokes hurt it but if you can get it for under 1K and put say 4-500 for stock work and replacement horn guard and better looking pad I don't think you will get hurt when it comes time to sell, not stealing it for that but I would think a dealer could put 14-1600 on it and move it.JMO of course, lets see what the other guys say

The receiver of that gun reminds of this Lindner Daly. Not Identical, but some similarities I think.

It is a pretty nice looking gun. I would offer the distinct possibility that Robert Hubner bought a J P Sauer action and barrel set "in the white" and fit and finished it up and stocked it, adding his name as a small shop maker. The action clearly has an identical appearance to the Sauers of the period. The markings on the barrels are very blurred, but do I see an intertwined "SUS" in there?

Looks like a Sauer action to me as well, Chief.
Course that it not unusual as most guns built by small shops were from Sauer actions. Lindner included.
It may be very difficult to replace the trigger guard with something fabricated of metal. I might simply use acrylics to do a good repair on the present one.
Nice gun and Dave is in the ball park as far as price goes.
Best,
John

John,
There is a guy on Trapshooters looking for a Lindner SBT. I mentioned that you have some and may know of others for sale.
