Well it was a two day drive to camp which was located 100 km north of Armstrong, Ontario, four hours north of Thunder Bay. He was a little bear, approximately 100 pounds. If it wasn't late in the week I would probably have let him enjoy his snack.

Fauneta performed flawlessly. Right barrel passed through lungs and heart, according to the guide. We'll try again next year.

The first set up (Monday through Wednesday) which didn't draw in any bear. The bait is a concoction of marsh-mellows, granola, syrup, fig newtons, apples and water.

Moved to this location Thursday, plenty of tracks and scat. Hunted from the ground. Here is my view of the bait.

He tipped the scale at 106 pounds. Guide said he was probably 1 1/2 y.o. I wish I had photos of the other bears brought into camp.

The target lies within.
