You need one more to round out your list. 9. The self-anointed academic poster, aka - the dog and pony show. Even a self-anOinted pOny doesn't stop a show...

The BBS of Shooting Sportsman Magazine. It's been largely replaced by NOT Shooting Sportsman Mag BBS. Guess some folks got tired of discriminating practices of those in charge when it came to handing out 1st amendment rights. Funny thing is one can get bunch of the same guys on Upland Journal BBS and they seem to get along like "peas in a pod".

Geez...don't you guys have any guns to clean, or hulls to reload, or something. It seems like more and more space is being consumed by knocking the other guy rather than sticking to double guns and related subjects. The dog and pony show is becoming more a one trick pony. Am I alone on this one?

Kerryman's list was a start but a more comprehensive list of BBS personas can be found here . . . . kind of a "who's who" in mental health. Check the drop down list. http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/duelists.htmKen

Oh my. I am going to be up all night wondering into which groups I fall or don't fall. Future nights too. This will just make me crazy. Jake

Might need to add number #10 to the list..."DIAP"
The dOne it all pOster.
The poster that owns more side by sides than anyone on here...he can do it all...stock work, barrel work...action work... but never shows the first picture.

I would say you ned to add "the Spoiler". The guy who sees blood, vengence, a target or an opportunity, to ridicule or harangue someone for an oversight, poor spelling, lousy typing skills like mine or slightly off kilter info, where the basic premise or info is correct but for a minor detail or two which has no bearing on the final outcome. Their pleasure/satisfaction from participation in the board is derived mostly from the angst and friction they cause others.

Well, I gotta say that everyone that I've met from this board has been a person I'm pleased to have met and I'd be glad to hunt with. I've met about a dozen or more of our members here.
