Bottom lever was worth that since I have multiple guns that wear one but not carved like this puppy. Also have a set of shilling fluid steel barrels that could be fitted depending on how bad these Damascus are. Anyone have information on the maker/retailer new to me but common name. Thanks in advance.

Hofmann in Dürkheim an der Haardt(Mountain Range), now called Bad Dürkheim. Maybe he is a hold over that can be found in Der Neue Støckell? There were several Hoffmans, Hofmans in Suhl, Z-M and actually a Nikolaus Hofman in Wüzburg that became Waffen Frankonia. Hochachtungsvoll Raimey rse

Hofmann in Dürkheim an der Haardt is scarce; however, there is a Büchsenmacher katholischen Friedrich Hofmann in Dürkheim listed in the 1885 directory. Maybe Friedrich was C. Th. Hofmann's son or vice versa??? There is a mention of Friedrich having a son but the age of the platform looks to pre-date 1885?? Hochachtungsvoll Raimey rse
