OP OSS Sidelock Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 157 Likes: 102	Met up with Monte Manderino & Bryndon Steele (Bsteele) at the Kalispell gun show last weekend... enjoyed a great dinner together at Spencer's Steak house Friday night. Bryndon made the "score" of a lifetime... becoming the new caretaker of Jerry Fisher's custom Winchester 69! The rifle came with a letter by Jerry detailing the rifle. What a treasure... hopefully he will post pics here... till then, here's a pic after enjoying our dinner... Last edited by OSS; 09/07/26 02:29 PM.

Steven Dodd Hughes had me go to Jerry’s shop and photograph his personal hunting rifle that he built for himself. Jerry was a well known custom rifle maker and contributor to fine custom guns. Monte Mandarino is one of the best as well and it is always satisfying to be able to talk to such people with those skills. Sadly, this will be Steven Dodd Hughes’ last article, as he passsed away in July… Montana seems to me to be what a small boy would think Texas is, listening to Texans..John Steinbeck

I have such admiration for his work I don't think I could talk to him. That photo of Jerry's bench is great, thank you for posting. Venerable warhorse of a rifle.
