“Gutsbesitzer Ungewitter“/ A.Ungewitter / Alfred Ungewitter was wealthy & large landowner, who with his status, found his way into offering empirical solutions to hunting & weapons issues of the era. His land holdings were under Gut Roßdorf near Jessnitz in Anhalt. In all of the publications related to his contributions, he is always referred to or defined as Gutsbesitzer. His contemporaries were Albrecht Kind, Georg Luger along with agents from RWS & Köln-Rottweiler. Maybe that is why Rottweiler powder was so popular?
He was a Guest Author in »Schuss & Waffe« and it seems his artikels were edited by Albert Preuß. He was considered one of the experts of the time and had a dedicated chair @ the First Ballistiker-Kongress at the Neumannswalde Testing Station orchestrated by Albert Preuß.
Gutsbesitzer Ungewitter was basically an Empirical Bridge between practical hunting & shooting and the quickly, ever evolving technology of propellants and ballistics.
