I know the relationship you had with Doug too. He was glad to once have you on the side of the Conservatives here, and was more than willing to say so. He really appreciated your take on Gun Control from a Canadians perspective, and appreciated your warnings to us to never let it happen here. I would never suggest that you didn't have a warm relationship with Doug. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he had invited you to come to Utah to go to the Las Vegas Gun Show with him, same as he had invited me. You both shared an interest in cars, and both owned Pantera's. I also know he rust blued several sets of barrels for you, and you knew he passed his formulas and methods on to me. He made me swear to keep them a secret because he never wanted the Libtards here to have them.
And before he left this forum, not due to death, but due to his disgust with the Libtards here, he also noticed the change in the way you treated the very people who drove him away. We absolutely did discuss it, but at that point, it didn't make him reject you as a total loss. He just blamed it on the way many Canadians are. You and I were still on what I thought were friendly terms when he died, so when Doug Jr. informed DaveK, he then informed me, and said Doug didn't want folks here to know. As you can see from our PM, it was me who suggested that we should at least share that information with you. I don't recall who actually let you know, DaveK, me, or Doug Jr., but I really felt you should be one of the few that knew initially. I believe Stan was the only other guy here who was informed before the news leaked out and Buzz posted it in a Thread.

Thank you for letting me know about Doug's passing. What an absolute shock. I haven't spoken to him or heard from him for a while and was just thinking about asking JRB if he was OK. I knew he hadn't been posting here recently because he was just sick of a lot of it and considered it a waste of time. But I know he lived a very healthy lifestyle, and he looked very strong and healthy for a guy his age. Had he been sick? He obviously was very devoted to his wife and from speaking with him, it was evident that losing her had a profound effect on him. Of course I will respect the decision to not say anything about this on the forum just now, but at the same time, I do hope we will soon pay tribute to such a great guy.
I feel like I just got punched in the gut. Did anyone let canvasback know? I know they spoke and e-mailed each other frequently. I know Doug was a man who respected his God, and I will be praying for his eternal rest. Thanks again for letting me know.

I respected Doug far too much to ever use his name to dishonestly pin something false on you. I still do. Everything I said was true. And I don't dispute that jOe could be obnoxious... but he sure saw the change in you while I was still in denial. And you went ape-shit over him saying it out loud, and began a relentless press to have him banned.... just like you've done to me. My saying you are engaging in much the same Cancel Culture as the Left is accurate. You are trying to Cancel me by repeatedly pressing for a ban, and I'd guess you have done it more than any two other people who want me gone. And whether you agree with any or all of my positions, if you ever succeeded in Cancelling me... you have then silenced any of those positions ever coming from me again. Saying that doesn't make me a liar. And if you feel bullied by that, your skin is so thin it must border on transparent. So I would ask how that soft touch approach of topping up the drink of the guy who is voting for Trudeau or other anti-gunner, to make it impossible for him to ever own a handgun or military style semi-auto, is working out for you and other Canadian Gun owners?
