Objectivity often feels like a lost art.

It takes work, and diligence. Truly objective people go looking for things that challenge their positions, not for things that support it. The are constantly testing what they believe against new information that they've verified.

Intellectually lazy people do the opposite.

...and that lack of objectivity is exactly what our politicians and media want, for their own benefit.
