Well guys who behave like Keith don't defeat anyone. And neither do echo chambers.

You and Ted and others who tacitly support Keith can revel in your polarization if you want but it won't solve the problem unless you get into a shooting civil war. Then you'll have to actually kill most of the other side to get peace. When you talk about "defeating them" you have to defeat a bunch of Republicans as well. In 2015, Trump was right. It's a uni-party and Washington is a swamp. The exception to the uni-party on the Left is the far left progressive wing, like Bernie, AOC and that Muslim idiot currently destroying NYC from the mayor's office.

If you really wanted to solve the problem you'd largely ignore politics and go straight to the educational system.....there is where the problem lies.

And speaking of wordsmiths like Hemingway, if you don't mind Ted, I'll quote one of my favs. George Carlin. He pointed out, in a memorable bit, that when you make your politics your identity, you cease to be able to argue your belief system from a position of logic. Because any information you hear (or read) that doesn't conform to your world view becomes a personal; attack. It's an attack on your identity. I hold the positions I hold because they make logical sense. Not because I'm emotionally fused to them.
