No rush, Ted. Next spring is fine. Of the three Ohio would probably work best for me. Side trip to Upper Sandusky would probably be in order. I’m trying to drum up some interest. Has to be other riders here. No thanks. Had my share of road rash from having to lay down a 1100 v-twin at the speed limit, in blue jeans and a tee-shirt. A lot to parse there, Stan. Maybe Ted’ll give it crack. Moving on. I now satisfy my need for speed in a 21' Allison with a Merc 260 hp 2-stroke. She'll do 90+ mph. I'm good with that. Good move. I mean, what could possibly go wrong doing 90+ on the water. Probably safer than skiing. ______________________________ Enjoy every sandwich. Warren Zevon I've done 95 mph in a 20' tunnel hull. Don't need to do that any more. LOL

About the same speed (hard to tell in the middle of it) in a 1974 Biesemeyer jet boat, with a 455 Olds engine powering the Jacuzzi jet pump. We got a ticket, later that day, doing the same thing, radar said 91mph.
They didn’t give DWI tickets to boaters back then. We richly deserved two.
Agreed, been there, done that.

Tunnel hulls are tremendous boats. My son just sold his STV River Rocket. It would do 118 every day. They are so much easier to drive at speed than a Vee with a pad (like an Allison) that Allison drivers jokingly call tunnel hulls "boats with training wheels".
I've known guys who learned to drive an Allison then went to a tunnel hull. Most of them came back to Allisons saying tunnel hulls were boring.
I've run both. I love Allisons.
OBTW, 90+ mph boats and alcoholic drink are worse than guns and alcohol. IMHO

Is there no speed limit on the rivers you frequent, Stan? We got a speeding ticket on Lake Minnetonka in the late 1970s for our stunt.
There is a speed limit on Lake Superior, enforcement is usually handled by the Coast Guard. I witnessed one guy in a cigarette boat get followed by a Coast Guard cutter into the harbor on Madeline Island.
The ‘Coasties had zero sense of humor. Rich guy in a swim suit, face down, wearing handcuffs in the grass while law enforcement searched his boat.

i will engage here, at soon to be 77 i have ceased riding - still have a completely set-up 250 2t woods bike in my reloading room. and i still note it when i walk past, i live in a place with 100+ miles of legal woods & canyon trails...now walk my dog on those trails, but i still close my eyes and see myself riding. rode for close to 60 years, rode for transportation - i was 25 before i owned something with 4 wheels and roll-up windows - over 175k on pavement. i have ridden home with several guns bought at shows in new mexico, colorado, wyoming, back in the good old days.
gradually got more into dirt bikes and drifted away from street riding - and cellphones helped wean me from daily riding.
i have told many fellows that if they enjoy motorcycles, i'll bet they could learn to enjoy guns - and vice versa - they are both internal combustion devices. knew a guy from austin (40 years ago) who belonged to a loosely organized club: called the torque and recoil society, their business cards pictured both a rifle and a motorcycle.
