Agreed, and despite my long hiatus, I am one of them.

And there we go... TransGomer Joff has returned to using a Signature line with his disparaging words about the NRA, but he altered it to attribute it to me.

The gutless coward TransGomer Joff also did not respond to my extremely reasonable conditions to accept his wager... because he doesn't wish to admit that he is a liar and a fraud. He's backed into a corner of his own making, and now can only lash out with more dishonesty. What a spineless fraud.

The really sad part is that there are some here who don't see anything wrong with Joff's lies and deception. Altering QUOTES to Troll and disrupt this forum... no problem! He is one of their own kind. Nor do they see anything wrong with his support for anti-gun Democrats and comments about the NRA.

Like TransGomer Joff, they will also resort to lies and personal attacks to advance their agenda of Censorship. They have had ample time to compile a list of the dozens of guys they claim I drove away, along with proof of that claim. Yet, as always... they've got nothing.

After all this time, years of making the same deceptive claim, Only ONE person has named me as a reason for leaving this forum, and the absence wasn't even real. That was when the Preacher posted his "Down One" Thread to announce he was taking a temporary leave from this forum. He also blamed JamesM and DaveK, and noted among other things, he could no longer take Jim using the term "Libtard", because it was so very hurtful to parents of retarded children.

But in truth, he never really left at all, and except for about 4 days while in Guatemala, he was logged in part of every day. And better yet, when it was pointed out using actual QUOTES that friends of his like Dr. Wanker and Last Dollar had often hurled the word "RETARD" or "RETARDED" at Conservatives here, he predictably had absolutely nothing to say... because it's all about deception and double-standards. Shameless!

Many new guys won't remember JamesM or DaveK... they are two Conservative members who actually did stop Posting here because they got sick and tired of dealing with the Liberal Left crowd. And I still have PM's from them saying so. Same with PA24 Doug Woodin and J.R.B., both also deceased.

I enjoyed this trip down Memory Lane concerning that one and only announcement of a phony departure. If anyone is able to show where anything I said about it was wrong... be sure to submit a correction and show your proof. I can prove everything I just said.

I'm also waiting for TransGomer Joff to name all of those other forums he claims to run and help run. I'm guessing that he operated the same in other forums as he does here, and that would explain why he's suddenly spending so much time here.

It matters not how long someone has been here. I've been here quite awhile myself. This is about more than Keith. It's about people who want to be in control of other people, and forums.

Like it or not, thinking rants like Geoff's can do anything about it is delusional.

You don't have to take sides to see that.

No rants, just cool, calm, objectivity that allows us to "keith" for who and what he really is.

Who would have thought the world would become a place, where an affluent forum member could pay to ban someone, flaunt misquotes in their signature line, or flyfishing. Have a day, durn, that sig line was a polemic blast from the past, a reflection of a better world. Sure that, or the hypocrisy of civil discourse.

No control.

We cannot control how others act.

We can control how we choose to react to them.

I've made that choice carefully and deliberately in this case...to allow "keith" the opportunity to show us what, and who he is.

He's done a fine job of that.

You know Stan, you're completely correct, but we've been through this before and nothing's going to change. Hey, I've got a great idea, let's start an off topic thread mucking up the board to complain about someone else's posts who I think are mucking up the board. Yeah, that'll fix everything.

The problem is in three parts.
1) you have long-standing personality disputes that continue to simmer, annoying some people
2) you have the self thought smartest guy in the room who wants to be board policeman
3) you have a forum owner who is a pretty much hands off manager, which leads to power vacuums

Part 1 gives part 2 a windmill to tilt at, a cause to be championed for the benefit of us peasants, hooray we're saved. Part 3 gives part 2 room to operate, you can see how that works.

It would be nice if Dave would start a Q&A thread and we could find out exactly what his vision is for this forum. But I don't think that is in the cards. Or he could appoint a moderator that would manage his vision for this forum, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards either. Which means the guy who knows what's best for everybody will continue on until somebody gives up and walks away.

think the motivation would be to simply have the forum be what it is purportedly intended be, rather than some polemic dominated other thing.
