It is Dave's board, and it's absolutely "his house, his rules."

That's how all the boards and forums I run, and help run - with over 80,000 members - work too.

That some people are allowed to act out, with protection from "management" has destroyed many forums over the years. It was what killed off the original SSMBBS, it's what's all but killed off NOTSSMBBS, and I've seen the same on any number of FB groups.

I've found that zero tolerance for any form of personal attack, and "no-politics" builds memberships fast, and that people appreciate that sort of environment...but...

It's Dave's house, Dave's rules.

This isn't an attack, so let's get that straight up front. But GR, your line of reasoning reminds me of the immigrants, legal or otherwise, who leave their country, come here, and then want to change "here" into the place they left.

I'm left wondering why do they leave where they were, to come here, only to try to change here into there?

If you hate the way this forum is run so badly, why do you stay?
