It's Dave's board. I have several times been puzzled by his tolerance/intolerance for certain points of view. But then that's his prerogative.
And, of course objective realists are not usually welcome on most firearms' related forums.
Posters who seem to have drunk deep of the kool-aid appear to be well tolerated. Perhaps that imbues a special charm.

That's how all the boards and forums I run, and help run - with over 80,000 members - work too.
That some people are allowed to act out, with protection from "management" has destroyed many forums over the years. It was what killed off the original SSMBBS, it's what's all but killed off NOTSSMBBS, and I've seen the same on any number of FB groups.
I've found that zero tolerance for any form of personal attack, and "no-politics" builds memberships fast, and that people appreciate that sort of environment...but...

More bullshit from TransGomer Joff and Dr. Wanker too. Of course, Dr. Wanker has also dishonestly attacked the NRA, and said they are essentially useless. When I replied to Dr. Wanker several years ago with a long list of NRA victories and accomplishments, he predictably had nothing to say... put his tail between his legs, and left the conversation. Liberals like him destroyed Kalifornia, and think more of their insanity is the answer.
These Democrat supporting gun owners love to reap the benefits and firearms freedoms that have been won and preserved by the NRA and dues paying members. They never stop to think why they can still use lead ammo, or why their range hasn't been closed, why they can still buy and shoot handguns or semi-autos. They never stop to think about Democrat strongholds where anti-gunners outlawed these things, shut down gun shows, and made gun ownership difficult, expensive, or near impossible. They have the FUDD's attitude of, "I don't shoot handguns or semi-autos, so screw everyone else... the anti-gunners will never come after me"... Even when they see the example of other countries where the anti-gunners never stop coming. Many are buying English guns cheap because of anti-gun laws and restrictions... but these morons can't connect the dots.
Both of these Liberal turds are quick to criticize personal attacks. But they feel they themselves are immune from following that rule. And they never utter so much as a whisper when one of their Liberal Closet Democrat pals is engaging in name calling and personal attacks. They only cry "Foul" when they think they can use the rules to silence their opponents.
This entire Thread is another personal attack from Joff. He is crying because I had the gall to respond to him manufacturing a false QUOTE, and attributing it to me. He sounds like a little girl crying, "Mommy, she hit me after I hit her first!" And he's stupid enough to think it's a winning strategy.
I for one would like TransGomer Joff to name all of those other forums he claims to run, and help run- "with over 80,000 members". I'd love to see just how successful they are compared to this DoubleGunShop forum that the Lying Loser Joff can't stomach, but also can't avoid. I think Joff may be a shill, like those paid protestors hired by the DNC and other Leftist organizations.
And no surprise, but here we have dishonest Joff telling the lie that politics on these forums drives away members, and "no politics" builds membership fast. It has been accurately and truthfully noted many times that Political threads here very often generate more participation and views than any other concurrent Threads. Usually, the political Threads have more interest and participation than other topics by a large margin. And often, we don't even get to see just how many Posts and pages they would generate, because they get locked when crybabies like Joff or Argo complain loud enough that they get locked or deleted.
The proof is in the view counter. The proof is in the number of Posts and number of pages a Thread runs. The Proof can be seen on other firearms forums that do have Political sub-forums that generate large interest and do not drive away members. The Indiana Gun Owners forum I have mentioned a number of times is a good example. The have sub-forums for 2nd Amendment Legislation, and General Political Discussion. Thread topics are not limited to gun issues, but include things like Democrat Fraud, Dr. Fauci Crimes, Illegal Immigration, Property and Income Taxes, Election Security, Iran War, the Ukraine war, Gas Prices, and a hundred other off-topic things that even Argo44 couldn't dream of. Members like TransGomer Joff or DimmyW don't seem to last very long, and nobody misses them. The Moderators don't tolerate deception or cowardly gutless things like manufacturing QUOTES and attributing them to others. Right this moment, they have 219 members and 6914 guests online. Unfortunately, their DoubleGun content is severely lacking compared to this forum. They do have paid advertising to help fund the forum... which is better than waiting for donations that are often essentially attempted bribes made to silence opponents.
