The gun is over 50 years old isn't it Lloyd? The law does not require the 3 day wait if it was built before 1976. The 3 day wait rarely happens in my shop because almost everything on the books is a C&R. Steve :
I've tried that argument before here (for a 120-year old Ithaca hammergun even) and folks just won't listen. The State has most everybody so buffaloed now that they meekly comply without a question and will brooke no arguments otherwise.

KDGJ: The Springs Armory. Way cheaper than my remaining options up here (& I have an associate that speaks highly of them).
Edit to add: Thanks Dr. Drew, I do remember that string fairly well (but this time I have a dog in the hunt so I read it a bit more closely). My...how time flies. The good news is that RST sent me a flat with every shot size I could ever hope to want (not cheap but...pretty nice!).
If the need ever arises where I would have to do some 2-inch reloading, I'm fairly confident that I could. I already have most of what I might need (primers, powders, shot, etc.) but I would have to learn how to do that rolled crimp.
FWIW: I'll have to be pretty enamored with this gun before I'd undertake all that (my 16 is already pretty convenient). If RST keeps loading them then I'll likely keep buying them. Hunting grouse for almost 2-months straight up north last year, I used maybe 3-4 boxes of 2 1/2-inch 16?
I do tend to hunt with several different firearms over that period (hammerguns, my 28, even pumps) so that's a factor as well.

It wasn’t long after I moved here a decade ago that I could see where all this was going. It wasn’t crazy like it is now but clearly crazy was coming. I got my C&R and haven’t looked back. I am out of state now and a couple of copies of it are in my brief case (just in case). Earlier in the summer a Grade 3 Lewis called to me from the east coast. I pulled out a copy and stopped by the post office for a money order. The gun was on its way to my door in short order. Think about it as you enjoy that new beauty.

This has been coming for some time now. Sadly, it's not a complete surprise
If I thought I'd be doing any significant buying and selling I'd seriously consider a C&R. As it stands now, I'm arguably "all full up" and can't imagine needing anything else. I have also focused lately (last few years) on pre-1899 stuff to avoid all of this silliness...but I suppose every once in a while something might still come along (so all that extra patience will come in handy here now).
