I’ve had more introductions to paved surfaces while riding bikes than I’d care to admit. My attitude of “how do you know what the limit is until you exceed it?” often didn’t end well. I used to keep a helmet and riding jacket with the right sides substantially ground off. I decided that was too morbid and tossed them.
Those days are long gone.

Momento Mori.

And I hope when I get old, I don't sit around thinking about it
But I probably will
Yeah, just sitting back
Trying to recapture a little of the glory of
Well, the time slips away
Leaves you with nothing, mister, but boring stories of…

I think there is real value in coming out of dirt bikes and graduating to street bikes. The dirt teaches you things that you would have to die learning on the street, and allows you enough pain to remember the lesson.

I never crashed any of my own street bikes. I’ve owned a bunch of ‘em. Rode a GSX Suzuki to both coasts, and a XJR600 to the east coast, through Canada.

But, out in the dirt and on a few tracks, I’ve destroyed a bunch of stuff.

Just not me.

Best,
Ted

Don’t worry. There’s still time.

Wheezing? Pretty sure that is for Cub riders. From Detroit.

Never had the urge to go-pro anything, but Molly does a great job, with that and her drone:

Smart. Be pretty embarrassing having a record of you bending up one of the tracks bikes getting it off the side stand.

You riding there or taking the Olds?

As a rule of thumb, track bikes don’t have a side stand.

Dude, it’s everywhere you want to be:

https://superbikeschool.com/keith-code/

They started teaching Marines in 2006 how to avoid getting killed on their bikes.

Best,
Ted

Just guessing, they missed one Marine. For sure they would have told him to get the hell off that Cub.
