The Springer Kombo from 1910 arrived today & only a day late of the U.S.P.S. so I guess they are due that additional 10 cents that are adding soon?

But a little of a disappointment that the platform was originally in 1910 a 450 Kalibre and looks like in 1962/1963 it was lined to 6,6X70R??? Odd stamps of >>450.<< over >>63.<< over >>62.<< and no other stamps less the preliminary datastring & final in 1910. The frame is actually devoid of any stamps. Maybe some cobbled together effort in the early 1960s?

Fantastic period Springs's Erben Leg of Mutton Case.

Loading sticks of brass without any headstamps w/ VV N 140 for a little smoke signals tomorrow morning.

Glass is just stellar.

Again the current chambering is 6,6X70R „Bleistiftpatrone“.

At a minimum, the barrels & tubeset were made & knitted by Stephan Schilling in Suhl.

Maybe the action was sourced from Vejprty / Weipert????

I forgot to note that the tubeset length is 65cm.

The previous custodian was in Kodiak, Alaska & I think he had it for 8 years. He said the Springer Kombo was posted on 3 boards with one being the German Gun Collectors Association?

As I surmised, the John. Springer Kombo in 16 - 6,6X70R „Bleistiftpatrone“ was sourced from the talented mechanics in Weipert w/ a Krupp Tubeset by the most able S. Schilling.

8lbs on the nose for the full kit including 4X Gerard Landlicht 23 Scope(DRP).

7lbs 4 oz without the Gerard Landlicht 23 Scope.

3lbs 12 oz for the tubeset.

I am having to resize the loaded cartridges after I add the lead bullet. Is that typical?
