I was there on Thursday, opening day. I'm not retired so I can't go for the whole enchilada. This year's was much better than last year's but not as crowed as some have been in the past, but Thursdays are probably the most thinly attended because of work conflicts.

I saw both Daryl and Tom and spent a good deal of my time at the fox booth and the tent. I sold 3 guns and bought 2 and like Tom I bought a flat of RST's. Mine were 16-gauge spreaders.

I sold off a CSMC 20 with a single trigger which is not my preference, and 2 really nice Philadelphia Fox B's, one in 12 the other in 16-gauge.

I bought a CSMC 28-gauge with double triggers and an early 1890's Westley Richards with phenomenal condition and gorgeous Damascus barrels in 12-gauge. I tried to work a deal for a nice Francotte 14 in 20-gauge, but it did not happen. I also bought a small cast bronze grouse feather for the mantel from an artisan who had some very pricey bronze sculptures.

I live about 3.5 hours away, so a day trip is doable.
