But in Communist Cuba, the government chooses your occupation; therefore, your education. And since the Bulgarians, which are and odd lot in language & other things, invested heavily in Communist Cuba. In the event you chosen to be an Engineer in Cuba, you were shipped off to Bulgarian to Engineering School.

Our Cuban friend did give that the 2nd day on the raft ride from Cuba to Florida was a bit rough, and may have been similar to Castro's boat ride from the Yucatan???? Both a story for another day.
