Here ya go, Ted… “Slate trucks are manufactured in Warsaw, Indiana, USA. Slate Auto, an American electric vehicle startup, produces its trucks at a facility in Warsaw, Indiana, a site previously used by LSC Communications as a printing plant until 2023.” ____________________________________ https://www.slate.auto/en/

Electric? It’s six hours to Lake of the Woods county. Your Prius could maybe do it, but, an EV might need to be charged, twice. Best, Ted ____________________________________________________________________________________ The F150 can do it towing 6500 lbs. The only stop would be for me and the dog to pee.

The beauty (& practicality) of old trucks... The beauty may only be in the eye of the beholder, but the practicality is undeniable. Around 2000, when a new 4WD pickup was a mere $30,000 or so, a friend bought a loaded 4WD Silverado. I stopped by to see it, and he said, " Let's take a ride." We went to a local farm, because he needed some hay bales for archery hunting target practice He paid for the hay, and the farmer and I each grabbed a bale and went to toss them in the bed. My buddy nearly had a heart attack, and yelled to stop us. He then went into the back seat to get a small tarp to protect the shiny new bed from the hay bales. I said, "I don't see you driving this truck on any logging roads." ,and he said, "Not for a long time." That kinda defeats the purpose of buying a truck.

Yeah...beauty and utility generally don't coexist.

Yeah...beauty and utility generally don't coexist. I beg to differ... ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/YJEWaqg.jpg) 2015 Denali, Duramax Diesel, Allison Tranny, 6WD, Leather, Chrome, all the bells and whistles. The only way the dealership ordered them. This one has hauled hundreds of tons of Cargo ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/azsAj1K.jpg) Here's my '07. They called this "The Golden Year" because it was the last year before Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Thousands of tons of cargo hauled. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/kPnpkbS.jpg) This little Piggie (right Stan?) goes to Market. L.A. Produce Market three times a week. Apologies to Daryl for posting this image after he posed his question.

Calling it useful don't make it beautiful. I've never seen a dually pickup that I could call beautiful. I can go along with utilitarian, but beautiful? Nah.
Those bulbous rear fenders remind me of Hillary Clinton's legs.
May God bless America and those who defend her.
