Take it from someone who owns a Purdey and a Perazzi. I could not win a major shoot simply because I do not have the shooting skills to do so.

But, I have never, not once, seen a "fine British best" gun win an event. I have seen them used in the competitions. I have even seen one make it to the shootoff. But, I have never seen one win.

So, what is to be gleaned of this? I have my opinion, but I will reserve it for now.

These are luxury items for royalty and those that have more đź’° then they know what to do with. These people do not preoccupy themselves with shooting enough to win competitions. New activity seems to be making poor people miserable by buying off politicians, political candidates or making our lives miserable in other ways.

Wait. Are you talking about the farm lobby or Elon Musk?

Not necessarily, but wealthy folk like The Material Girl and hubby Guy Ritchie,.... I don’t think Elon Musk is into stuff like this, but I don't really know.
I meant for people who have so much wealth they literally don't know what they should buy next.
People like this exist but they focus on socialite estate game shooting hopping from one to the next, in general they dont shoot clays, trap,....

Not a bad problem to have. If I ever get any of that farm subsidy money— I’m still working on getting my patch of tomatoes and zucchini into the program, I’d get a Honda Trail 125 to zip around on fire roads and such.

Sure I knew about Perdue. I was talking sporting clays exclusively, though I may not have made myself clear about that.

Precious few SXSs around pigeon shoots down here. Paul Melton would have better knowledge about how many winning fluer shooters use them. My bet is, few to none.

May God bless America and those who defend her.

No gun is "too valuable to shoot."

I know people who regularly hunt with guns worth $80K+

Of course they do.

My AyA Model 53 was built as a pigeon/clays gun.
