![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/9d/51/6XE4UsUN_t.jpg) With these unique strikers, even though the platform doesn't were flash hiders or deflectors, it is entirely possible that this Lefaucheux Lever Platform was originally fitted w/ pattern welded tubes and then in the 1890s a set of new fangled fluid steel tubes replaced the pattern welded tubes? https://www.buechsenmacher.de/english/history/I really haven't read this as I was searching for something else, but solid info on Klett can maybe be mined here¿ Hochachtungsvoll, Raimey rse

https://www.doublegunshop.com/forum...p;Words=klett&Search=true#Post183899Dietrich Apel had always told me that the „K“ in a “ratchet“/jagged circle was attributed to Louis Kelber¿¿¿ Too, Gebrüder Kelber was founded in 1894 by Brothers Louis, Robert and Wilhelm Kelber. Hochachtungsvoll, Raimey rse

![[Linked Image from i307.photobucket.com]](http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn283/keep_it_warm/IMG_0475.jpg) And too, it appears the »K« in the „Ratchet“/Jagged Circle, takes on a couple different forms over time? Maybe the same mechanic; maybe not?? Hochachtungsvoll, Raimey rse

https://germanhuntingguns.com/about-the-makers/gun-makers-dealers-f-j/It is mentioned in the Gruendig section about the stamp of a »K« being the mark of Kelber. I wonder if it is the K in a „Ratchet“/Jagged Circle?? For now I just can't get behind the Cockle-Burr Tale..... Hochachtungsvoll, Raimey rse

And too, it appears the »K« in the „Ratchet“/Jagged Circle, takes on a couple different forms over time? Maybe the same mechanic; maybe not?? Seems absolutely so, judging from the pics above. This latest one is a print font, the other one was a kursive capital writing font. I strongly feel that this *may* have meant different bearers of the same last name. Carcano

Oddly enough, I was thinking the same thing & maybe the one with the more »Stylized K« may have incorporated his 1st initial or added some unique flair to his »K« whilst the other is just a bland »K« in a „Ratchet“ or Jagged Circle.

![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/13/06/890G9tHq_t.jpg) Polluting the thread a bit but in the same vein, but here is an Eduard Kettner DR w/ unique stamps for the tube maker. But when it comes to rifling, one could not engage anyone better than »WK«(script) - Wilhelm Kelber. Any ideas on the characters?? In addition to these tube mechanic stamps, there are 2 others being an odd »JY«and »K« in a Rhombus that have eluded me for a time...... Hochachtungsvoll, Raimey rse
