This is very sad news. My condolences to Greg's family, and may he rest in peace.

I really enjoyed his annual Guns and Game Photos Thread, and give a big +1 to Stan for suggesting that it should carry on in his memory. He sure loved his guns and hunting, but as a priority, they came after his God and family.

The last time I PM'd Greg a couple years ago was to give him instructions on posting photos here direct from an Android phone. During our exchange, I asked him to please say hello to former DoubleGunShop member J.R.B., who was a friend, hunting buddy, and neighbor of Greg's. Joel had stopped Posting here shortly after Doug (PA24) died, but he still PM'd me from time to time. I hadn't heard from J.R.B. in a while, and Greg informed me that he had passed away a few years ago. That's three great guys and staunch 2nd Amendment defenders we lost all too soon.

This is very sad news. Always enjoyed reading Greg's posts. Made doubly so by finding out JRB (Joel) had passed as well. Keith said it well. Greg, Joel and Doug. Three great guys gone too soon.

The world cries out for such: he is needed & needed badly- the man who can carry a message to Garcia

Most of us are at a time in our lives when we begin losing hunting and shooting partners, and friends...and things that helped define who we are/were.
One of the best compliments to Greg is that he was a gentle-man and a Christ-like peacemaker, and therefore blessed of God - Matthew 5:9

Greg always put family first. I looked forward to see photos of his sons and his day afield with doubles. Sorry to hear of his passing, Joel, too. Joel had returned home from afar to help provide care for his mom if memory serves. Gil

Very sad news. Quite shocking as there was no mention of his illness.

Greg was always a gentleman. I know he was a great role model to those who knew him.

He loved his vintage guns, dogs and family. He posted good photos of his guns with birds of the day.

He spent lots of time with his kids hunting birds.

Always a smile in his pictures.

Condolences to his family and friends. I know he will be dearly missed.

With a fine gun on his arm, a man becomes a sporting gentleman, both on the field and off.
