I could get by just fine with never eating another bite of venison, Ted. If I could swap that for zero crop devastation, I would in a heartbeat. It's not like what I want will ever come to pass, anyway.
We have known forever that trichinosis, tularemia and other animal related diseases can be prevented in humans by properly cooking the meat. Ya' think the CDC hasn't got enough sense to determine that?
Now, I'm not gullible enough to think that the CDC is infallible, by any means. Remember the "blood clot shot"? However, this shouldn't be rocket science. Either cooking at sufficient temperature for sufficient time will kill the offending bacteria, or it won't.
