Good to hear from you Raimey. Everyone else appears to have me on "Ignore"

Unfortunately not many of the marks remain
Upper L '16 something' likely the bore at the time of final (3rd) proof
I think it's a 16 in the diamond lower R
The crowned proof house mark remains lower R

Yes, an expert repair of a separated dovetail lump

Possibly the 'gunsmith' could be recruited to tackle this repair wink

Thanks Hause and some of the Greats are Just Worthy of Ignoring......

Most interesting on ACCI and what exactly does that stand for??

Any word on the double stamp of stylized & intertwined EL on the tubes?

The stylized EL was applied at the time of the first Provisional Proof. It's pretty common to see it double stamped, and I don't know why. Maybe at the 2nd proof of the joined tubes.

Nothing definitive on the 'ACCI' and I haven't found a barrel maker with those letters (which the Belgians tended to dyslexicly rearrange for our confusion wink ). Later SPI doubles frequently had the ‘LLH’ of Laurent Lochet-Habran and 'ACL' in an oval of Acier Cockerill Liege
Maybe Société Anonyme John Cockerill??

If the desired end result is keeping the gun from being fired, I question the “squirt epoxy into the firing pin holes” method of doing that. With just a bit is disassembly, the pins, hammer springs, or both being removed, could keep it from being fired by some optimistic sport.

Trust me, the virginity is long gone, someone has been in there, before. Do the task correctly.

Best,
Ted

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I am reminded of my friend Walter Grass' tale about joining the barrel bundles for Heym guns together with "hart lot"/hard solder/braze made from opened and flattened cartridge cases, when they were suffering material shortages while re-starting operations after the war. I am sure they did a much better job than this.

The owner states he has no intention of firing the gun, will render it inoperable and hang it on the wall. Thank you all for your help in satisfying his curiosity.
