Both Republicans. Not Democrats. The bill was named the Brady Bill after James Brady. The bill was passed thanks to the 54 Republican House Representatives and 16 Senate Republicans and by the encouragement from Republican Ronald Reagan for them to vote for the bill after he had left office. The Bradys were also speakers for Bill Clinton at the Democratic Convention. Decades later, James Brady died from complications from the shooting during the attempt on Ronald Reagan's life. Because of this, James Brady's death was ruled a homicide. Because of the shooting, he was murdered. The coroner's department, his family and the police acknowledged this ruling as being accurate. You will find that in just about any poll taken today that anywhere from 60-90% of any and all types of Americans today are in favor of background checks. In almost any poll taken, 70% of all of the NRA members are in favor of background checks. I hold no I'll favor for the actions of any Republicans. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. But I would like to see it in writing. Not useless blather. No lying, whining or bellyaching from anti-gun trolls can change the facts. And thank you for the emails people sent me. They kept me from reading the troll's lies.
