'ACCI' was a mark of Syndicat des Pièces Interchangeables (along with 'SPI') established in 1899 by Neumann Frères, Janssen Fils and Dumoulin Fils & Co.

Rather casual attention to fitment of the barrel lump

Odd bore at 16.0 = .630" but that was probably at the time of First Provisional Proof of the tubes

Please tell your friend to clean up the exterior surfaces, squirt epoxy in the firing pin holes, and hang it on the wall. I suspect the ? dovetail lump separated at some point.
A pic of the barrel flats would be interesting.

He is trying to identify it. In my limited knowledge I have only been able to tell him it is probably Belgian.

Alan

You’ve told him about all he really needed to know, save, maybe, don’t try shooting it.

That one is pretty rough.

It is, indeed, Belgian. Guild gun might be too generous, as there were some high quality guild guns. This one, is not that. Many years ago, a member here gave guns of this level the acronym of JABC, standing for “just another Belgian clunker”.

His handle, was Klunkermeister, or, Klunk, to those of us who knew him.

RIP.

Ted

I have imposed one last time on the generosity of @ellenbr in posting the pictures. It is one of the barrel flats as requested. I’m not sure what the intent was but it appears to have required a lot of brazing and the use of a cross pin hammer…

Thanks again to all for your help.

I don’t use my own doubles near enough lately… I’ll have to do something about that …

This is not just another Belgian clunker. This one has braze! Maybe JABBC?

I think clunker should be capitalized.
