Well I showed up early and did not have a lot of cash to deal with. But at the AG&L table I ran into something I just (thought) I needed to have. So me being me and always an instinctive buyer laid down most of my cash on a nice little 20 bore ejector boxlock by E Chamberlin.
No case with the gun but I did find a A&F toe under case that fit like a glove.
The little 20 has knock out wood and 28" tubes that said was made by Westly Richards. Now the problem, I later found a nice crack in the fore arm. So it will be going Saturday to the gunsmith for a repair and and overall tidy up.
Also picked up a real nice Brady toe under leather case for practically nothing. It is in great shape and will be going to fit my Holland Royal in it as soon as I get it back from the smith as well.
So to say I'm a sucker for project guns.
Now for what I need. Anybody have or know where I might find a label for the Chamberlin? It's pre 1900 so do anybody know what one would look like?
And last, there are a lot and I mean a lot of nice doubles at this event. If I had more money I would have spent it all today for sure.

I have a 12 gauge Chamberlain here.

It's a nice gun.

15 7/16" stock, 6.6 lbs, decent engraving.

I don't have photos where I can get to them right now, but can put them up tomorrow if you want to see them.

Sure, do you have a picture of a label?

I’d really like to see pics of your 20 ga. I recently (last year) picked up a similar gun, used it almost exclusively last fall and really like it. Mine has 28” barrels with a nice POW stock and decent wood.

Great photo. The dog food for sale in the window was particularly interesting. One of the earliest Reilly advertisements mentioning him as a "gun maker" was an advertisement for dogs. It looks like some gun makers in England became sort of a Cabellas of their time. Same thing in France with the "Armoriers."

Edwin Chamberlin 28 ga. back-action hammer-gun from Heritage guns - unfortunately the label is a Heritage label.
