Luckily the value of the guns my wife and I own do not appreciably affect our net worth. Her son and my grandson are both shooters and our guns will go to them; neither of us will have a "disposition problem" at incapacity of death. My wife has already given her son one of her guns and I've given my grandson three of mine.
We both still shoot but recognize that the day will come when it's the end. As we age out (presently an average age of 80) we don't have to worry about what happens to our guns because all will go to family.
