The sons (and now daughters) of the rich and influential have never gone except by choice or ambition. It didn't start nor will it end with Trump. I doubt we will see Obama's daughters volunteering any time soon.

He had a medical issue at boot camp, was told no harm, no foul, feel free to come back if your blood work returns to normal. He says he might give it another run after he gets his degree.

My father was a DI at Naval Officer Candidate school, and 50 years ago told me about the same numbers flushed out. My kid asked if he could give it some time in a rehabilitation platoon, the Corps said sure, so he gave it a month. He cleaned parking lots all over MCRD and a few public lots as well, spent some quality time sunburned, but, got a reputation as being a hard worker on his detail. If any of you guys have a kid that is prescribed Acutane, and considering the military, make sure he is under the care and observation of a doctor, not a physician’s assistant. My kid should have been off of it long before he went to boot camp.
He is busy with school, at the moment. We’ll see what happens.
