Hi All,

I finally bit the bullet and bought a Westley Richards hand-detachable double. In a perfect world, I'd have the resources to buy a WR drop lock double rifle, but I'm quite grateful to have been able to get this shotgun.

Per Westley Richards, it was made in September of 1950 for a C.H. Rhoden of Kansas. It has 28" barrels chambered in 12 bore 2 3/4". Their letter said it was a "Lightweight", which I guess means no rib extension. Does that sound right? Single trigger, selective with a scalloped frame, in its maker's case.

Anyone familiar with the Lightweight version, versus the usual model 'C'? I don't have a dedicated book on WR (yet).

Thanks,
Chris
