....Why would you imagine those things are different? Exactly. The difference is in how the conversations are held. The Gomers here who can't disagree without name calling, insults and invective are children throwing tantrums and are unworthy of respect, consideration or time. They're doing what they're doing to get themselves off in some bizarre form of self abuse...why feed it?

They're doing what they're doing to get themselves off in some bizarre form of self abuse...why feed it? From one gomer to another, pass up all the comments that are beneath you, and just read your comments. Make a list, such as name calling, consideration, childish tantrums, and debate with yourself to decide if you are worthy of respect. Challenging as it may be, hop off the pedastal, and approach it as though you aren't always right, and somehow above the fray.

Come now, name your "Gomers". Don't be shy.
How funny is it that you berate name calling, yet call your opponents "Gomers". 🤣🤣🤣🤣
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Too much good comes from it.

A pompous self-appointed hall monitor who's going to police behavior by calling names and acting childish. Tim

A gentle hint: avoid mind reading and trying to guess the motivations of others. It never works out.

Come now, name your "Gomers". Don't be shy. Nah. Everyone knows. But shy made me laugh! How funny is it that you berate name calling, yet call your opponents "Gomers". 🤣🤣🤣🤣 If you equate "Gomers" with name calling, I feel bad for you.

Probably more right than you care to admit, but you no doubt you disagree with that, so we will just have to disagree, quietly.
A gentle response: I am not trying, nor would I even attempt, to read your mind. However, I am capable of reading your posts, and some things are coming through loud and clear. If self-awareness was one of your strong points, you might see that, but I suppose you're too busy being right.
PS, congratulations on spinning this thread away from its original topic, and making it about you. You are quite the forum policeman. Combining arrogance with the need to control others never works out.
My apologies Lloyd, if you like, PM me and I will delete them. And more prayers for the servicemen who have died, and their families. As Americans, we need to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
