Take note of the fact that Kersh had used the gun satisfactorily until someone else mentioned that the trigger pull might be "heavy". Also, others reported using 10–12-pound triggers. Living with 12-pound shotgun triggers is not the same as preferring them. The intent of the comment was to express that you could not live with a 12-pound rifle trigger. Mike

I took note of that earlier, Mike. Note that I said that trigger pulls are a personal issue that I didn't desire to debate. I have noticed that others have reported using 10-12 pound triggers. Using is one thing . . . . using well is quite another.
I do understand that you were primarily referencing double rifle triggers.
However, I stand by my belief that no one, no one, can shoot their best with a shotgun with 10-12 pound triggers.
AFAIAC, we have no difference of opinion, unless you disagree that 10-12 pound triggers are a problem for normal people.
May God bless America and those who defend her.

As I have said many times, whoever owns the gun, gets to decide what to do with it. I have a special dislike for heavy triggers on rifles and prefer set triggers, but have known people that were afraid of set triggers and didn't mind heavy ones. I guess that is why they make different colors pickup trucks. Mike

Okay, latest update: I took the trigger assembly out, removed the hammers, and cleaned/ polished the face with a dremel abrasive buff and then a felt wheel. Did the same to the sear (although i could only fit the felt polishing tip in the window to get to the sear face). Then I oiled everything and put it all back together.
New trigger pull: 5.3 on the top barrel, 4.9 on the bottom.
Feeling pretty good about that.
