Does anyone know if Browning offers historical letters? I know that they did at one time.

I wrote to them last year with this question and they replied that they would resume this in April 2025.

This week, I wrote and inquired about a shotgun originally manufactured in 1972, and they replied that they do not have records going back that far?

Realizing that an answer from customer service could be anything depending on who answers, does anyone have a POC at Browning?

That is correct.

Browning responded that the records are not digital. They are either hard copy or microfilm and determined that it was not cost effective to have them all digitalized.

I would think that the Browning Collectors Association would want to do this similar to other collector organizations or perhaps send all of the records to Cody, but I guess not.

I got a letter a very few years ago on an early 60's 28 gauge.
It's not that Glenn Jensen wasn't replaced when he retired,
It's that the gentleman who replaced Glenn worked at a pace that made you think he wasn't replaced.

Browning claims that they currently have no Historian.

But then Remington said for years that they had no records....

I think Browning should rehire Glenn Jensen.

I requested a letter for one of my Superposeds a few months ago and was told it would take a few months to get done...which I interpreted as 6-8 months.

So they're still doing them...but they take a while.

In the meantime, I've managed to answer most of my questions about the gun, the letter should just confirm those things.
