not all that diff...that if you pound away at an old light weight 2 1/2" fox or Ithaca field gun with 1 1/8 2 3/4" loads, you will eventually crack the stock heads of said gun...
open dim chambers, now...
an shoot one oz loads, goin out at 1200 fps or less...

I cannot believe I am the only person on this board that has seen Damascus barreled guns sent back to England and reproofed for Nitro.
Ignorance is bliss. There is many blissful people in the world. You are probably in a lot more danger using an extension cord or step ladder without having a thorough inspection done before every use than you are shooting Damascus barreled shotgun in sound condition with appropriate loads.

Wow....a thread about 2&1/2" shotgun ammo descending into political diatribe. Who ever would have guessed it here on the doublegunshop BBS? Shocker, eh? It takes a special kind of stupid for people to do that. I'd say, "I wonder why they do it?", but we all know. They get off on baiting each other. Watch the replies to this post for proof of that. So let me understand this Geoff... If you get triggered by a Post, and make a reply, that's perfectly OK, in your narcissistic little mind. We have enough examples to show that is true. But if someone else replies to your insulting and estrogen fueled triggered reaction, then they are "getting off on baiting each other." Or else they are taking your bait, as you alluded in another Thread today: ,,,,It's not how right I think I am. It's how right I am. You'll want to write that down. If Steve likes it, I’m writing it down. Every time I visit, can always tell the confidence of a WI or CO for that matter, lefty. You might be out shoveling some snow👍 Swing and a miss, sweet cheeks! I'll bet a dollar you can't even figure out what you got wrong. Back in the lake with you! You'll swallow the bait again soon. Please try again... That sure seems to accurately describe a number of your recent Posts here Geoff. In all my time here, I'm trying to recall any Conservative going on a tirade to shut down or censor political commentary. That seems to be mainly a Libtard thing. Are you Liberals and Closet Liberals all that fragile and sensitive, or is there something you're trying to hide? Try not to hyperventilate or faint when you reply to tell us how right you are, Geoff.
