1988 Ping Eye2 copper-berylium's - square grooves grandfathered - still the best. I know the distances for the irons though I've been losing about 3 yards a year off the tee since I turned 60 22 years ago.

In fact I've long thought there was a connection between golf and shooting. Both require concentration, swinging through the target, smoothness, control, calmness, proper grip, stance. .. In fact my golf group is also my shooting group - all of us (one is missing from the photo) are Special Forces veterans and comrades of the Cold War. Walking our sporting-clays course is much like the golf course. We're out in nature, there are different "holes," each with different challenges, having to "hit" high/low balls, traps. .

Good for you, Argo44!! At least you are walking the courses. I gave up golf decades ago. But, I started riding golf carts a few years back for sporting clays because it was easier on my buddy who is going to have knee surgery here in a few weeks. And it is easier for me to ride, too. A little hard for me to walk, anymore. So, enjoy yourself!! And good luck!!
