"our barrels, made of Swedish steel, will hold a charge of 14.25 grams of powder, and a shot load of 400 grams. Barrels made of special steel will hold a charge of 23.75 grams of powder and 860 grams of shot load."
14.25 grams = 7.33 Drams black powder
400 grams of shot = 14.1 oz. (40 grams = 1.4 oz.)
23.75 grams = 12.2 Drams of black powder
860 grams of shot = 30.3 oz. (86 grams = 3 oz.)
If I interpret correctly, this is testing made on steel samples, not proof of finished barrels
