Good to know. Not surprising, considering the source.

Interesting perception, and I sure won't dispute it. I can only add the information that in Germany the young or middle-young talent that we have, finds few - too few - commissions.

It's hard to find an engraver who works out for you. You don't want some kid pecking away at an expensive gun. Plus, you have to have a gunsmith to take the gun apart so the engraver can engrave it. Unless the engraver can do that. Then it needs to be blued and/or case colored after it's engraved then put back together. A lot of engravers can do handguns, cigarette lighters and knives. But they don't want to fool with a long gun for that reason. It might seem silly, but does Galazan have an engraver who does that kind of outside work? You are right up there close to them. You wouldn't have to ship it. Just thought I'd suggest it. Have a good day and good luck. I'm hoping for the best for you.

I can get you in touch with this guy. He can do whatever you want. Obviously this is deep relief with gold inlays.

IMO there are a vast number of engravers that should never attempt game scenes. German Shepherds with horns, splayed bill ducks and flying turnips just don’t get it.

How *NOT* to engrave.
Disgusting in ever so many respects.
Even the infamous flying turnips are better.
