Well, DSC 2026 Atlanta is over & all but a very few are elated as it again was a FLOP, but not as bad as last year w/ weather. Downtown Atlanta just does not have the nightlife that most vendors seek. Mostly muggers & such.
Anyway, most agreed that SCI had turned their fate around w/ the nightlife in Nashville.
Still lots of vendors and some vowing not to return to Atlanta again as the rumour mill gives that DSC may be in Atlanta 2 more years before going to Houston.
Collector Firemarms had one of the odd Mauser O/U Kombos in what they give as 12 bore and 9,3X74R. As usual I was in a rush & didn't take the time to inspect it but the price online is $15.75K; pretty stout. It is the Crock that makes me pause. I guess it could be a Crock gun. Go to Afrika and a body of water. Create a little cesspool; throw some Chickens in & Crock hunt w/ it. The cost of the Hunt & the Mauser would be about the same Cost. But if they bring it to SCI Nashville I will inspect it closer.

https://collectorsfirearms.com/prod...teyr-mannlicher-schoenauer-rifle-r43828/Although not a Purdey fan, a French maker, Armurerie de l'Elysées, had a lovely brace of 1906 Purdeys in 16 bore @ $38k, more than likely for an American Custodian; an American Custodian w/ fairly short arms with a LOP of just under 14".
Too, he had a massive >>in the white<< 577 double and the website claims to be >>One of Paris' Oldest<<.
