I understand how you feel. The first thing I look at when I buy a car is- how is the appearance? I don’t want to own an ugly car. People always comment on how awesome my cars look. Makes me (and anyone) feel good. They do the same when I pull out one of my guns. Always have. Then again, Russ enjoyed and collected Ithaca side by sides. They don’t appeal to me either, and I told him so. With all due respect, I can't see thinking an Ithaca side by side looks beautiful and a 21 is ugly. If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black. 🤭 The eye of the beholder--as the saying goes.......BUT, since I love the looks of a Model 21, the engraving and the history that surrounds them, I have always admired them. And will continue to collect and shoot them.......ANYWAY, the reason for this thread was simple- to get people's opinion on how they felt about buying a gun that the chokes had been opened by someone they didn't know. A simple question as to whether it bothered people enough not to buy a gun. That is all I was asking. As it turns out- everything turned out fantastic and I ended up with another great side by side I will enjoy. Isn't that what this forum is all about? Thanks for your opinions. Take care gentlemen and enjoy. 🙂
