We got this in on consignment with several other guns. We've done a fair bit of research but not enough to feel comfortable listing this anywhere for sale. It's a remarkable gun in fantastic shape but not the type of thing we normally deal in! Any help figuring out where this came from and how much it might be worth to the right buyer would be greatly appreciated. Pretty confident it's from Liege Belgium and thinking turn of the century (pre WW1). It's a 16GA for sure. Link to photos: Photos

typical belgian gun - i'd call it a middle grade shooter if the bores are nice...siemens steel tubes are good quality....the "c" stamped at the forward end of the stacked proofs indicates proofing in liege in 1924....the "1k180" is the weight of the finished barrel set when proofed (that's a pretty light set of barrels) if they weigh within 3% of that now, they would be considered to remain in proof (lighter than 97% of that would make them out of proof as per belgian rules). it was chambered for typical 2 1/2" shells (65mm). as you likely know the name stamped on the bottom of the frame identifies the seller - who had little or nothing to do with making the gun.

if it's a lightweight gun (6# or so), the barrels are nice and in proof, the chokes are favorable for bird hunting - it would have appeal for an increasing small number of us who still enjoy such guns. but in this market that's an ever diminishing group of buyers...i'd guess $500-750.
