OP Mike Harrell Sidelock Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 3,850 Likes: 309 Alaska	I finished repairing bubba's ham fisted personalization. Sent the receiver off to Micro Weld in MN to be laser welded. Trae Stevenson was very helpful with every step. They received it on Friday before MLK day and sent it back on Tuesday after MLK day. Total with shipping $129.00. I'm am really glad that I had it done.

I didn't think you'd really need to bother with chasing or recutting any engraving if the job was done carefully. That one small spot near the opening lever on the right side isn't very noticeable, even though the photos are much larger than actual size. Did Micro Weld just do the welding, or did they do the final dressing too?

You kept your files, stones, and abrasives off of the engraving, removed minimal material, and ended up doing a good job of matching the surface finish of the rest of the frame. Nice save!
