Here’s a quick rundown.
Tom Rowe and I discussed this type match for these nice rifles a few years ago - this is the 4th match, I believe.
We’re staying away from Lever Guns and Military as there are existing matches - we’re focusing on a small niche, we know.
We’ll shoot Sporting rifles Friday at 1pm. Dinner to follow at 5.
Saturday 9am - Rook rifles.
Saturday 1pm (after Rook match) Double Rifles.
We try for everyone to shoot at the same time (depending on the number of shooters), we all shoot 25y, then score. Move targets to 50, repeat; then 100. We are in NO hurry.
Percussion or Breechloaders.
You can shoot 1, 2 or all 3 rifle types.. DR was added after the 2nd match as quite a few have them.
We try to shoot original 19th Century loads, but if gun is NP - prefer NFB loads..
It’s really about the guns, camaraderie, then shooting.
